The analysis and comparison of this table shows that postive variation signifies higher percentage of convicts as compared to undertrials. From above table we can establish that in BNS/IPC case

  • Murder, Rape and kidnapping & Abduction shows postive variation of 15.76%, 10.23% and 0.44% respectively thereby showing higher conviction in these cases. whereas Thefts, snatching, robbery and Attempt to Murder shows a negative variation of 9.01%, 4.05%, 3.86% and 3.09%, respectively thereby showing less convications in these cases. In other BNS/IPC cases variation is 4.90%.

 

In Local & Special Law Cases

  • Prevention of Corruption Act
  • cases and Dowry Prohibition Act shows a positive variation of 0.64% and 0.14% respectively thus showsing more convictions whereas N.D.P.S Act and Arms Act shows a negative variation of 4.72% & 1.79% respectively thereby showing less conviction in these cases. In other cases the variation is less than 1%
